    The current activity of the Embassy

    Charity ball MAD-Aid

    On 6th of February, the Counselor of the Embassy, Mrs. Oxana Borta, participated at the Charity Ball 2016, organised by the Association MAD-Aid (Medical Aid Delivered) from the United Kingdom. The main purpose of the event was to collect funds for the maintenance of the Phoenix Center in Moldova, designed to provide early intervention and social inclusion for children with disabilities. The Charity Ball brought together about 60 people, including representatives of the Moldovan community in the United Kingdom, British donors, and guests from Ireland.

    It is worth mentioning that in the period of 2012-2015, MAD-Aid donated to several hospitals in our country specialised medical equipment and furniture. At the same time, the Association plans that the Center of Phoenix will become the main partner in opening a Community Center for the elderly in the village of Mihaileni, by providing it with furniture and equipment in the future.


    • Global Conference on Wine Tourism

      The Republic of Moldova has received the title of the "World Capital of Wine Tourism in 2018", in the context of hosting, for the first time, and under the aegis of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), of the III-rd edition of the Global Conference on Wine Tourism, in the period September 20-23, 2018.

    • British actor awarded for his work in Moldova

      Tony Hawks, the British actor and comedian, was awarded the British Empire Medal by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in recognition of his support for children with disabilities in the Republic of Moldova, as well as of all support provided by the Tony Hawks Centre in Chisinau.

    • Announcement

      On 22 August, Vilen Murzac, Charge d`affaires a.i., visited Spanish Embassy in London and expressed full solidarity with the Spanish colleagues, on the occasion of the appauling terrorist acts commited in Barcelona and Cambrils on 17 August 2017. Mr Murzac signed the book of condolences in memory of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the attacks.
