    The Republic of Moldova establishes diplomatic relations with the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis

    The Republic of Moldova establishes diplomatic relations with the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis

    On September 8, 2017, Mr. Vilen Murzac, Charge d`affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and H.E. Dr. Kevin M. Isaac, High Commissioner of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, signed the Joint Communiqué between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis on the establishment of diplomatic relations.

    The parties expressed their governments` will to promote mutual understanding and to strengthen friendship and cooperation between two countries, based on the principles of the UN Charter and international law.

    Establishing of diplomatic relations is an important step in strengthening mutually beneficial relationships among states. The Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis became the 139-th UN member state with which the Republic of Moldova established diplomatic relations.

      On 22 August, Vilen Murzac, Charge d`affaires a.i., visited Spanish Embassy in London and expressed full solidarity with the Spanish colleagues, on the occasion of the appauling terrorist acts commited in Barcelona and Cambrils on 17 August 2017. Mr Murzac signed the book of condolences in memory of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the attacks.

    • Moldovan Rock Band, Zdob si Zdub, will hold a concert in London

      Their first Eurovision experience is Moldova’s debut in the Contest, dating back to 2005. At the 50th edition Zdob si Zdub represented their country with the song "Boonika Bate Doba”, placed 6th in the Final.
