    E5P Assembly Meeting

    E5P Assembly Meeting

    The 7th E5P (Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership) Assembly meeting of Contributors was held at EBRD Headquarters on 7 December 2017.

    The meeting was attended by representatives of the European Union – the largest donor to contribute to major projects in the area of energy efficiency and environment protection in the beneficiary states, EBRD, EIB and other organizations and partner states. The Moldovan delegation was represented by the Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy.

    During the meeting, the Interim Mayor of Chisinau, Mrs Silvia Radu signed the Grant Agreement for the project on energy efficiency in schools, hospitals and other public buildings in Chisinau, with a total cost of EUR 26 million.

    E5P is an EU Fund which provides financial support to projects in the area of energy efficiency improvement and environment protection in partner states, including the Republic of Moldova.


    • Global Conference on Wine Tourism

      The Republic of Moldova has received the title of the "World Capital of Wine Tourism in 2018", in the context of hosting, for the first time, and under the aegis of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), of the III-rd edition of the Global Conference on Wine Tourism, in the period September 20-23, 2018.

    • British actor awarded for his work in Moldova

      Tony Hawks, the British actor and comedian, was awarded the British Empire Medal by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in recognition of his support for children with disabilities in the Republic of Moldova, as well as of all support provided by the Tony Hawks Centre in Chisinau.

    • Announcement

      On 22 August, Vilen Murzac, Charge d`affaires a.i., visited Spanish Embassy in London and expressed full solidarity with the Spanish colleagues, on the occasion of the appauling terrorist acts commited in Barcelona and Cambrils on 17 August 2017. Mr Murzac signed the book of condolences in memory of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the attacks.
