    Baltic Symposium 2018

    The Chargé d`affaires a.i. of the Embassy participated in the 9th Baltic Symposium 2018 organised by the UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies, the Baltic Council in Great Britain and the Embassies of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in London.

    The event marked 100 years of independence of the Baltic countries, addressing historical aspects of their statehood, regional cooperation opportunities, as well as common challenges facing Eastern Europe.

    The Baltic countries provide significant assistance to the Republic of Moldova in achieving its European aspirations.

    • Global Conference on Wine Tourism

      The Republic of Moldova has received the title of the "World Capital of Wine Tourism in 2018", in the context of hosting, for the first time, and under the aegis of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), of the III-rd edition of the Global Conference on Wine Tourism, in the period September 20-23, 2018.



    • British actor awarded for his work in Moldova

      Tony Hawks, the British actor and comedian, was awarded the British Empire Medal by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in recognition of his support for children with disabilities in the Republic of Moldova, as well as of all support provided by the Tony Hawks Centre in Chisinau.



    • Announcement

      On 22 August, Vilen Murzac, Charge d`affaires a.i., visited Spanish Embassy in London and expressed full solidarity with the Spanish colleagues, on the occasion of the appauling terrorist acts commited in Barcelona and Cambrils on 17 August 2017. Mr Murzac signed the book of condolences in memory of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the attacks.
