    International Public Speaking Competition

    International Public Speaking Competition

    A representative of the Republic of Moldova, Alexandru Covalciuc, participated in the 38th largest public speaking competition in the world (International Public Speaking Competition, IPSC) organised by the prestigious charity organisation the English-Speaking Union (ESU). This year’s competition has been very special for the ESU, as 2018 marks its 100th anniversary. Our representative participated in the semi-final of this competition along with other 53 contestants. We would like to extend our sincere congratulations to Alexandru and his mentor Mr Ilie Dercaci for their efforts and courage, as well as to the ESU for organising an exceptional event and for its important activity in promoting international cultural interaction.

    • Global Conference on Wine Tourism

      The Republic of Moldova has received the title of the "World Capital of Wine Tourism in 2018", in the context of hosting, for the first time, and under the aegis of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), of the III-rd edition of the Global Conference on Wine Tourism, in the period September 20-23, 2018.



    • British actor awarded for his work in Moldova

      Tony Hawks, the British actor and comedian, was awarded the British Empire Medal by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in recognition of his support for children with disabilities in the Republic of Moldova, as well as of all support provided by the Tony Hawks Centre in Chisinau.



    • Announcement

      On 22 August, Vilen Murzac, Charge d`affaires a.i., visited Spanish Embassy in London and expressed full solidarity with the Spanish colleagues, on the occasion of the appauling terrorist acts commited in Barcelona and Cambrils on 17 August 2017. Mr Murzac signed the book of condolences in memory of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the attacks.
