The discussions focused on the progress in implementing the EU-Moldova Association Agreement, advancement of the EU-Moldova political dialogue, preparations and expectations from the November EaP Summit, as well as developments of EU internal and foreign policy.
The Moldovan Deputy Minister appreciated the support offered by Romania to Moldova’s European path. In this context, interlocutors pointed out the importance of organizing in 2017 the next meeting of the Joint intergovernmental Commission on European integration, which is an important catalyzer in sharing Romania’s experience of adhering to EU.
The Romanian State Secretary reconfirmed the availability and determination to further contribute to the promotion of Moldova’s transformation course in the spirit of the bilateral Strategic Partnership, supporting thus Moldova’s aspirations of approximation to EU.
The discussions on the perspectives of EaP development highlighted the similarity of views in what concerns the importance of harnessing in an efficient and results-oriented manner the opportunities of EaP.
