Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Galbur received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway Tove Bruvik Westberg
On April 20th 2017, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Andrei Galbur, received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the Republic of Moldova with residence in Bucharest, Tove Bruvik Westberg, who is currently paying a working visit to Chisinau.

The discussions focused on the perspectives of the bilateral Moldovan-Norwegian dialogue in the context of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, as well as the agenda of bilateral visits for the current year.

The Head of Moldovan diplomacy noted the technical assistance provided to our country by Norway in priority areas such as the reform of the justice sector and home affairs, the employment of under-represented groups of population and the development of business incubators in the Republic of Moldova.

The current activity of the Embassy

  • On the terror attack in London

    The Embassy condemns the hideous terror attack committed on 22 March in London. We express our solidarity and support to the British authorities and our sincere sympathy for the victims of the attack and their families and wish them full and speedy recovery.



  • Development of cooperation with Ireland

    Vilen Murzac, Chargé d'Affaires a.i., had a meeting with Mr. John O'Sullivan, Acting Director of the Division for Policy and Eastern Partnership of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland, and Ms Joanne King, Deputy Director of the Division, on February 10, 2017



  • Visit of the Speaker of the Republic of Moldova in Ireland

    Mr. Andrian Candu, Chairman of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, paid a working visit to Ireland, in the period 9-10 February 2017.

  • Moldovan Rock Band, Zdob si Zdub, will hold a concert in London

    Their first Eurovision experience is Moldova’s debut in the Contest, dating back to 2005. At the 50th edition Zdob si Zdub represented their country with the song "Boonika Bate Doba”, placed 6th in the Final.



  • Announcement

    The Queen Elizabeth II Academy for Leadership in International Affairs is now inviting applications for Academy Robert Bosch Fellowships (Russia and Eurasia).
