Foreign Minister Andrei Galbur met with his Cypriot counterpart
In the sidelines of the 127th Session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, held between 18-19 May 2017 in Nicosia, Cyprus, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova, Andrei Galbur, had a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Ioannis Kasoulides.

During the meeting, the two officials talked about the excellent bilateral relations, expressing interest in its further enhancement in various fields, including on multilateral basis.

A particular issue discussed was the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova. Minister Galbur expressed gratitude to the Republic of Cyprus for the continuous support offered to its country on the European agenda, especially within the European Union. Issues concerning regional and international security were also tackled during the meeting.

Minister Galbur extended the invitation to his Cypriot counterpart to pay an official visit in the Republic of Moldova.

    The Embassy condemns the hideous terror attack committed on 22 March in London. We express our solidarity and support to the British authorities and our sincere sympathy for the victims of the attack and their families and wish them full and speedy recovery.

  • Visit of the Speaker of the Republic of Moldova in Ireland

    Mr. Andrian Candu, Chairman of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, paid a working visit to Ireland, in the period 9-10 February 2017.



Announcements

  • Moldovan Rock Band, Zdob si Zdub, will hold a concert in London

    Their first Eurovision experience is Moldova’s debut in the Contest, dating back to 2005. At the 50th edition Zdob si Zdub represented their country with the song "Boonika Bate Doba”, placed 6th in the Final.



  • Announcement

    The Queen Elizabeth II Academy for Leadership in International Affairs is now inviting applications for Academy Robert Bosch Fellowships (Russia and Eurasia).
